Project Save Our Children Against Drunk
Driving Inc.
Our founding chapter is
located in Berryville, Arkansas. We are a
501-C-3 charitable foundation. With our non
profit stasis any donations to our
organization are tax deductible.
Our goal is to provide a
simulated preventive school based alcohol
awareness program,
That gives drinking and
driving education to our youth. Giving
children the
hands on education of a real
life drinking and driving scenarios.
“So they can make the right choice”
How This Program Can
Work in Your School.
This program has been
designed to be integrated into the school.
The course begins indoors with activities
supervised by the health teachers and the
outside program is done with the School
Resource Officers.
The Lesson Begins with a Pre-test for the
Students.
Video Library
Our library is a mixture of videos dealing
with impaired driving due to alcohol and
drugs with testimonies from teenagers. After
each video there is classroom discussion or
a question and answer quiz following the
videos.
Hand-eye coordination with Fatal Vision
Goggles,
Fatal Reactions & the Line Detector Kit.
This consists of wearing Fatal Vision
goggles and the Fatal reactions program
while
performing everyday tasks such as
typing, picking up keys, setting up dominos,
balancing a ball on a tennis racket, etc.
making the lesson clear. "If you can't
perform
two simple tasks while distracted,
you must limit the distractions". The
Line Detector kit will demonstrate a field
sobriety test for our students.
Simulator is Fatal Vision Goggles & Fatal
Reactions
Student wears the Fatal Vision goggles along
with the Fatal Reactions program. This is a
divided attention failure program consisting
of a monitor screen, a set of controls that
reacts like a car, and a program that
simulates driving. The teen will attempt to
maneuver through a video driving program
while they divide their attention Among
multiple activities demonstrating,
Divided Attention Failure!!
Fatal Reflection
Students face is transformed digitally to
show the injuries resulting from a crash
scenario. Instructor chooses one of 6 D.U.I.
or B.U.I. scenarios. The color photo will
contain a description of the crash and the
events leading up to the crash in detail.
Each accident scenario will show the facial
injuries, including legal, medical,
monetary, and financial consequences of the
crash. Then we type in the student’s name
and the story becomes personal to every
student.
Intoxiclock
This is a new concept used to
vividly demonstrate how a person’s level of
intoxication
changes with increasing levels of alcohol
ingestion and the rate at which the body
metabolizes that alcohol. Many people
underestimate the amount of alcohol it takes
to reach a specific level of blood alcohol
concentration (B.A.C.) and underestimate the
amount of time it takes for the body to
eliminate that alcohol from the body. As a
result, people who have been drinking may
think they are OK to drive and find out too
late that they should have found a safe ride
home. “I only had a couple of drinks, my
B.A.C. can’t be that high.” What a surprise
to find out what their B.A.C. really is!
Demonstrate to your audience what really
happens and how long it takes for the body
to metabolize the alcohol completely out of
its system. All information is entered via
touch screen. Inputs include gender, weight,
time consumption began, and the number of
drinks consumed. Intoxiclock connects to a
television and displays a countdown clock
that shows just how long it takes in terms
of minutes and hours to return to a B.A.C.
of 0.0.
Outdoor Driving Test
A specially Designed Golf Cart & Fatal
Reactions & Fatal Vision Goggles is used
School Resource Officers from the police
department assist here. The S.R.O. officers,
then give each student their hands-on behind
the wheel test in our specially designed
golf cart which has two working steering
wheels, two working brake pedals, roll cage,
and seat belts. This provides safety for the
student and full control for the instructor
in the passenger seat. Student attempts to
maneuver through a preset course while
wearing Fatal Vision Goggles and Fatal
Reflection equipment. Students receive
dramatic lessons in impaired driving without
the
Fatal Consequences of D.U.I. accident!!
The Final Task,
Students take a Post-Test to see how much
they have Learned!
