Project Save Our Children Against Drunk
Driving Inc.
Our History. Page 3.
This program is a program
designed to take a normal picture of a child
or individual, and transform it into what
they may look like after an accident
involving alcohol. This program has several
different scenarios and all injuries are
interactive and can be made bigger or
smaller as the instructor chooses. So
individuals going through the program get a
picture unique to themselves. I was also
able to buy a couple videos that dealt with
drunk driving and impaired driving under the
influence of drugs.
I then needed a golf cart to help put the
program on and went to the chief of police.
And asked for volunteers from the police
department to put demonstrations on in the
town of Berryville. The mayor of Berryville
was nice to loan the project his personal
golf cart. With the help of volunteers from
the police department, I put on the program
in its basic design a few times at local
events. I was putting on a demonstration in
the parking lot at the local Wal-Mart.
The demonstration was going very well until
we had a small incident and luckily no one
was injured in this incident. What happened
was the child driving the golf cart with the
Fatal Vision goggles on briefly lost control
with a volunteer officer in the front seat.
The child accidentally drove into the back
of the volunteer police officers automobile.
There was little damage done to the
automobile and little done to the golf cart.
Unfortunately it was the mayor of
Berryville’s personal golf cart.
At that point it was apparent that I need to
design the program in a much safer way, as
to ensure safety of all participants. I
contacted Intercorp Ltd., the makers of
Fatal Vision and asked about the rest of
their equipment. They informed me of their
Sidne Car, which abbreviated means Simulated
Impaired Driving Experience. This vehicle
that Intercorp designed to teach kids with
practical experience the consequences of
drinking and driving. The cost of this
vehicle and all other related equipment to
make this program complete would cost
approximately an additional $18,000.00
dollars.
