Welcome to

Project Save Our Children Against Drunk Driving Inc.

Our founding chapter is located in Berryville, Arkansas. We are a 501-C-3 charitable foundation.  With our non profit stasis any donations to our organization are tax deductible.

Our goal is to provide a simulated preventive school based alcohol awareness program,
That gives drinking and driving education to our youth. Giving children the
hands on education of a real life drinking and driving scenarios.

So they can make the right choice

Our Mission Statement

Our mission at Project Save Our Children Against Drunk Driving Inc. is to give children the "experience" of drinking and driving without the fatal consequences of a Drunk Driving accident. We provide an educational program that addresses the issues of driving while intoxicated and driving under the influence of drugs.

Our mission has expanded to encourage every county throughout the United States to establish a Project Save Our Children Against Drunk Driving chapter in their local schools and counties.

Teens that participate in this program have a simulated, real life, hands-on experience of what it feels like to drive under the influence of drugs or alcohol. This is done in a controlled environment with interactive software and specially designed equipment. Adults are on hand to supervise and explain the simulated experiences as the teens interact with the programs equipment.

My Motivation

My motivation is my daughter Constance Lynn Fox and her fiancé Shane Barkman and Adam Grinillo, who died because of a Drunk Driver. The driver was driving the wrong way on interstate 215 in Perris, California she was on her way to work as a nurse “she died”.

The date was September 10 2000,  On that day all four family's lives were changed forever.

Drunk Driving, The Need For Change

Changing the way our children think and react to situations that involve drinking and driving and driving under the influence of drugs, will help to prevent needless tragedies. This changed way of thinking may save their lives, and possibly the lives of every other driver and pedestrian they encounter while behind the wheel of an automobile. We offer a simulated preventive school based alcohol awareness program giving drinking and driving education to our youth.
We will provide this impaired driving program to any community to help in teaching and guiding teenagers about behaviors and life choices. With experience to draw from,
the strong influential role of peer pressure will be weakened. Allowing teens making
life and death decisions involving impaired Driving due to Alcohol and Drugs,
helping them to make the right life choices.

Know the Facts of Alcohol

Myth: Alcohol affects everyone the same way.
Fact: Many factors affect reactions to alcohol, including body weight, mental state, and time of the day or night. Young people are more negatively affected by alcohol and other drugs then adults because their minds and body’s are still developing.

Myth: Beer will not do permanent damage.
Fact: All forms of alcohol present the same risk for the mind and body.
A beer contains the same amount of alcohol found in a glass of wine, a wine cooler, a shot of whiskey, or the average mixed drink.

- Alcohol is the most abused drug in the United States. It contains a
drug called ethanol, a depressant that slows down brain activity,
reflexes and other physical skills.
- Recent medical research has shed light on what happens
to the brain when a teens drinks alcohol.
- Since their brains are still developing, teens that drink are more likely to
significantly lower their mental abilities.
- The part of the brain most at risk appears to be the hippocampus, a structure responsible for learning and memory. Also at risk is the prefrontal cortex, an area responsible for decision making.
- It takes half as much alcohol to affect and damage the teen’s brain
as it does to the adult brain.

Some Long term Risks:

- Lowered immune system and increased risk of diseases
- Cancer of the mouth and throat
- Cirrhosis of the liver, a disease that is often fatal
- Permanent brain damage
- High blood pressure
- Kidney failure
- Cancer of the pancreas
- Painful stomach ulcers
- Weakened heart muscles and bones
